Kadirga Limanı

We left Küçük Kuyruk at 8am on 10 October to flog west 30 miles to the vicinity of Marmaris. As seems to be the norm at the moment we got a short period sailing but the bulk of the passage was motoring. We ran in company with several other yachts and a few gulets for part of the way but then it was just BV and 2 gulets all making a direct track to our destination.

Rather than going into Marmaris inner harbour we thought we'd try out a new anchorage on the western side of Marmaris outer harbour called Kadirga Limanı. The gulets obviously thought it was worth stopping off in and, once we had got there, we had to agree that it was a pretty spot. Certainly one to remember for next year when we come to want to escape from Marmaris. The sea is beautifully clear and the rocky surroundings a delight.

We swam and relaxed a little but the end of our sailing season is definitely upon us because we both have half our minds on the tasks we will need to do to sort BV out for the winter. We have been able to do a few things but the bulk of the jobs just have to be done when we are at the marina. It will be a busy week! We'll probably spend tomorrow night at anchor just outside the marina and start on the list of jobs which essentially makes our night here at Kadirga Limanı the last one of this year's cruise.
