Moules Marinière

I think I need a longer arm to get it properly in focus!

One of the pleasures of being in harbour is that we can easily wander ashore and get fresh food every day. Whilst getting a loaf of bread we spotted these massive mussels in the market and couldn’t resist getting some for lunch. A simple but classic moules marinière seemed to fit the bill. Not exactly Spanish but quick and easy to prepare and a great way to enjoy these locally grown shellfish. The only issue is that after lunch we will have to go out to get another loaf of bread as we’ve eaten most of the first with the mussels, soaking up the delicious wine and garlic liquor. Perhaps an opportunity to spot something nice for dinner?
