An Interesting Puzzle

Back in September 2013 we talked to the guys on the Fischer Panda stand at the Southampton Boat Show because we knew that our generator was very sick and would most likely need to be replaced. After we had visited BV in October we knew that a new generator was needed because the salt-water damage was so bad and so we confirmed the order and set in motion arrangments for shipping the generator out to BV when we would be back on board in 2014.

Well now, 5 months on, a 115 kg box has been delivered to the quayside in front of BV’s mooring. Fantastic, all of the shipping and delivery arrangements have worked… but how, with just 2 of you, do you lift a 115 kg box on board and get it down below so that the generator can be fitted?

Now all we need to do is unpack it and start fitting it.
