Portosín

On 22 May we moved across to the south side of Ría de Muros to the marina at Portosín. It is ideally situated between the town of Noia at the head of the ría and an Iron Age settlement at Baroña to the south, both of which we particularly want to visit.

Whilst filling out the arrivals form and showing our passports and ships papers at the marina office, the very helpful lady on the desk was most apologetic about the weather. “It’s awful and still feels like winter”, she claimed. With just one cloud in the sky (pictured above) and a temperature of 23.5 degrees Celsius in the shade we were not too concerned but she clearly was and insisted on only charging us the off-season rate, "because the weather wasn’t good enough". I wish they did that in the marinas in England!
